Cuba introduces electronic visas

A visa to Cuba is a necessary document for all countries of the world (with some exceptions: Russia, Belarus, Serbia, and Macedonia). The Cuban government has significantly simplified the visa application process for tourists, making this small, unique country even more accessible.

Useful information for tourists before applying for a Cuban visa

  • Tourists who travel to Cuba by air can apply for an electronic visa
  • Every tourist, including infants, must obtain a visa
  • The visa is valid for one year for a single entry
  • According to the visa, you can stay in Cuba for 90 days from the moment of entry into Cuba, it can be extended for another 90 days
  • The electronic visa will be linked to a tourist declaration, which is filled out no earlier than 6 days before arrival in the country visa arrives by email within 72 working hours (take into account the time difference between countries when booking last-minute tickets to Cuba)
    • After filling out the tourist declaration, you will immediately receive a QR code by email, which must be presented when boarding the plane and upon arrival in Cuba.

Instructions for completing a visa request

 

  1. Visit the website  https://evisacuba.cu/es/inicio and select SOLICITAR VISA
  2.  Select the country you are in and get the details for paying for the visa (IBAN or SWIFT), you will also see the cost of the visa. Before paying for the visa(s), you need to determine the number of tourists who will be included in this request. You can add up to 10 people (we recommend adding minor children only, for adults it is preferable to fill out separate forms to avoid confusion). Pay the cost of the visa (visas) using bank details and save the check or payment receipt in jpg or png format (it will need to be attached to the form in the next steps). If paying for several tourists, indicate the last name and first name of all tourists in the payment purpose.

Important! If there is no Embassy or Consulate of Cuba in your country, choose from the list any country with an open consulate and one that suits you in terms of the method of paying for the visa.

3. Enter your details in the form according to your passport

4. At the next stage, you can add the details of tourists for whom you paid for visas (if necessary)

5. Attach payment documents

6. Check the correctness of the entered passport data, confirm and send.

7. If everything is completed correctly, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your request and within 72 hours you will receive a second email indicating your visa code and a personal link to fill out the tourist (sanitary) declaration to which your visa is linked.

8. By filling out the tourist declaration, you activate the visa and instantly receive a QR code, which must be presented when boarding the plane and upon arrival in Cuba.
